~KILLIAN Kayla's scream had caused pain to slice though my heart. I had only felt pain as great and similar to hers when my mother died. It carried so much emotions that tore across my heart and caused me to clutch my chest hard. That was how much power her scream possessed. I had soon recovered from the pain as I helplessly watched Kayla turn into a tiny dot that would soon reach the other end. My wolf burned with rage as it moved restlessly within me. My insides clenched and twisted at the sight of Kayla leaving me. I gritted my teeth in anger as I glared out beyond the river. She had proved me wrong. I had to hand it to her. She succeeded in pulling off the impossible escape from right under our noses. She did not let her friend's death stop her from following her supposed freedom.
