I gave him the most hostile glare that I could muster up. I watched him closely. I did not let any move he made slip past me. It was a delicate moment that required me to keep my eyes open and watch everything he did.
The boy held onto my pants closely. I could feel him trembling as he hid behind me. I looked down at him and smiled. He smiled back too. He was a brave boy.
I turned back to the man. "I just want to walk away from here unscathed," I broke the thick silence that had risen in the air.
The man chuckled again as he glared at me. "I was going to let you leave without the boy until of course, I saw your pretty face. Now I want you both. I'll get enough money off you," He stated and ran his fingers through his hair.
