"She's gone. I couldn't save her."
The words hit me hard and I remained frozen. I blinked my eyes multiple times at Killian who was looking up at me, waiting for me to say something.
Yet I could not say a thing. I just watched in silence. The world seemed to have come to a stop as I watched. Sounds echoed and I could not make sense of anything anymore.
She had been alive just now. She had touched my stomach. She had handed me those pills.
I looked down at the hands I had used to receive the pills. I touched my stomach slightly and I could swear that I could still feel the warmth of her hands.
So how could she be gone? How could she be dead? It had to be a joke or a prank!
"Killian! You need to try again! Revive her! Bring her back!" I cried.
Killian looked down at her body.
