• Alexis Jane: a young woman aged 24. She studied chemistry but resorted to teaching when she found job opportunities to be scarce. She is in a relationship with a man named John Ericson • John Ericson: aged 29 he is a lawyer for a financial firm called Maskew National Bank • Justin Connel: he is a complicated 18 year old student who is in his last year of high school.
