Life Hunter Chapter 1: The Wrong Turn
Akihara. A small town nestled in the mountainous region of Japan. Winters were cold and foggy, with dense cedar forests surrounding everything. Nights were quiet, broken only by the wind or a distant stream. The town had old wooden houses, a local school, and a narrow street with a few shops. Life here was simple and isolated. Kaijen lived in Akihara. He was thirteen—a thin boy with blue-black hair that was always messy, and deep eyes that seemed lost in thought. He was kind, too kind. He never lied and couldn't say no to anyone asking for help. But that kindness made him a target. At school, kids used him. “Kaijen, finish my homework.” “Kaijen, buy me snacks.” He always agreed. He felt weak, powerless. At night, walking home through the forest path, he wondered why he couldn't stand up for himself. That day was no different. After school, a classmate asked for a blue pen from the shop. Kaijen said yes and went. On the main street, chaos erupted. A thief in black ran past, chased by police. He crashed into Kaijen, dropping his bag. Valuables scattered. The thief turned in rage, pulling a knife. “You're dead!” Kaijen froze. Death was coming. Then, something broke inside him. Heat surged. The world slowed. A blue glow appeared. A voice in his head: “Time... is under my control.” Kaijen waved his hand. Blue energy knocked the thief back. Police arrested him. But everyone saw the glow. Whispers turned to shouts. “That boy did something strange!” “He's dangerous!” Kaijen ran into the forest, tears falling. “I just wanted to live...” The voice returned: “Time... can be turned back.” In panic, Kaijen focused. “Take me back... far back... to safety...” He pushed too hard. Blue light exploded. Wind howled. Time reversed—years, not hours. When it stopped, Kaijen opened his eyes. He was in a hospital room. Tiny body, wrapped in cloth, in a crib. A newborn. His mind screamed: “No! Too far!” He cried like a baby. A woman picked him up, smiling. “My son... my Kaijen...” His mother—13 years younger. His father entered, happy. A small girl peeked in—his older sister, just a child. Kaijen realized: “I went back to my birth day.” The power was still there—time and all 118 elements. But in this body, useless. He had his memories. A second life. This time, he would not be weak. Time was his now. "If you like it, please like, comment, and add to library! Next chapter coming soon!"
