Set Back

DEREK POV**

    When Dawn drove away I was royally pissed at Ava. How could she disrespect me like that in front of my friends. I wasn't only mad at Ava I was pissed off at Journey. I looked at Journey, and her head is down, and look like she about to cry. "Why?, Why Journey? I've been nothing but nice and loyal to you. But you had to go open your legs, like the slut you are!" she was now crying I didn't feel remorse at all she did this to her self. "Derek calm down its not only her fault, it's my fault also." Logan said while making eye contact with me. "Logan you knew I was dating her, and how much I like her but no, you weren't loyal to me either."     

    Honestly I couldn't care less if Journey was cheating on me or not, because so was I just with her older sister who is in college now. But i should at least use this to my advantage to get back at my sister. Right? I looked at Logan "I'll Forgive you." Logan began to smile, "If you do my a favor." I began to smirk.

AVA POV***

    "I can't believe you broke Lorenzo's windshield, he's gonna be pissed off." Dawn Started laughing, "honestly Lorenzo won't do s**t, because one its pay back for him backing into my baby, and two he was being a d**k to you today." I began to smile. "Thank you Dawn, honestly I don't know what I would do without you." "No problem Lovie, I mean you did save, me from those jackasses in kindergartner" we both began to laugh as she pulls up in her drive way.    

     Her house was a one story, but it was really big, it had a basement, and a couple secret rooms. Dawn has her own secret room, in her closet nobody knows about it except us two. She found it while she cleaning her closet in eighth Grade. It's a big room probably the one of biggest rooms  in the house,  it has a bathroom, and a small kitchen. Dawn made it into a Living room/party room. In one of the closet she keeps a couple of air mattress in case of emergency, Or if I needed a place to stay and I didn't want anyone to know where I was at.she has a small refrigerator in the kitchen which  has a couple of sodas, water, and some beers. She has some food, and most of all, her favorite Bourbon which isn't refrigerated she likes it warm for some reason.

     " Are you gonna stay the night." Dawn ask as we make our way into the house. "I don't know Probley, just in an hour or so can we go to my house, to grab somethings for tomorrow?" "Yea for sure actually lest go right now, before your brother gets home and starts some shit." We begin to walk out of the house, when we see Dawn's older brother. I've always had a crush on him for years now. He's 6'3 with black hair similar to Dawn, expect it's not curly its straight, he has a pretty green eye color, and his skin is a tan color because he just got back from Mexico. He went on a senior trip with someone of his friends. My brother used to be friends with his friend group. That was until he found out, my brother beats me. "Why are you two not at school?" he says looking at his watch, "Its only twelve o'three school doesn't get out until two forty five?, It's only the second week of school and your guys are already causing problems?" he starts to laugh. I look up at him because he's basically a tree. "Technically i'm already out of school, because I only have four classes this year." I say smirking "Anyways we're leaving we will see you in an hour we're going to Ava's house and we will be right back." as dawn begins dragging me to her car. 

    We get into her car, as she begins to blast Zombie by The Cranberries, that's her favorite song, as she begins to sing it. We arrive at my house five minutes later, she only live five minutes away by car, but twenty minutes away by  walking distance. She parks in front as i run in real in real quick, Derek, before Derek gets home. 

    I grab my emergency run away backpack with three days worth of clothing, one thousand dollars from birthday money I've been saving since eighth grade, a tooth brush, and all my bathroom necessity's, and a couple things that mean a lot to me. I grab it and begin to run out as I hear, my phone start to ring and I see Dawns caller ID. "Hey Dawn I'm coming, down right no-" "Ava your brother's home and he looks pissed he saw my car, go through your window I'm coming in right now so he wo-" someone grabs my phone and throw it against the wall as I picked up my backpack and try to run away, Derek begins to chase after me. He grabs my backpack and pulls me on the floor, as he sits on top of me, and start to punch me in the face. "you stupid b***h, you've ruined everything, it's all your fault, why don't you do us all a favor and kill yourself!" he grabs my glass lava lamp off my dresser and breaks it over the top of my head, my vision starts fading as I see Adam run in my room and pulls, Derek off while Dawn comes to me and starts talking and I pass out. 

DAWN POV***

    I see Derek pull in the driveway in his White Jeep, I begin to panic because I know he going to take out everything from what  has happened today on Ava. So I quickly dial my brothers phone number. "Hello Dawn what's up, what did you forget to put gas in your c-" I cut him off "Adam please come to Ava's house Dereks gonna kill her please hurry, they was a incident at school today and I know he's gonna take it out on her, please come." "Are you serious he's still touching Ava after I beat his ass, the last time?" "JUST COME TO AVA'S HOUSE GOSH DARNIT." he hangs up and I dial Ava too warn her. " 

    "Hey Dawn I'm coming, down right no-" "Ava your brother's home and he looks pissed he saw my car, go through your window I'm coming in right now so he wo-" I say as the call goes dead, and I don't see Derek in his car, I run out of my car and begin running into the house worried for my friends life, I see Adam pull up in his Toyota TRD OFF-ROAD edition, its all black. 

     "Adam hurry please" I begin crying and he Zooms past me running into the house, I quickly follow behind him. Adam is running up the Stairs, he bolts to her room, only to pull Derek off, after he broke the  Glass Lava Lamp on her head. Adam starts to beat Derek cursing him out and asking why, while I go to Ava to see her face swollen, with her lip busted, and her black eye is already forming."Ava stay awake, please don't pass out."  her eyes close as I begin to call 911, "911 what's your emergency?" "Please come quick my friend was beat, really bad she just passed out the address, is 8394 applewood dr." "okay miss, i'm sending an ambulance and dispatch responders right now." 

    I quickly hung and lunged towards Derek and begin to punch him in the face. "YOU FREAKING ASSHOLE SHE COULD DIE FROM THIS YOU PIECE OF SHI-" i'm cut off by Adam pulling me off of him. Adam picks up Ava and walks out of the house, and I quickly follow, as the ambulance shows up and Adam puts her down on the Gurney, as the police begin to pull up, and tries to arrest Adam."Wait Officer the person who did this is in the bedroom upstairs!" he lets go of Adam, and begins to walk into the house. "Only one persons is aloud to ride in the back of the ambulance" "I'll go". Adam says but before I could protest he hops in the back and they close the door, and begin to drive away. 

    I begin to walk to my car, and I probably should call her parents. "Hello this is Julie Fox speaking". "Hi Mrs. Fox just thought I should let you know your daughter is currently on her way to the hospital and your sons getting arrested put it together to figure out what happened, bye." I said while hanging up on her ass I began to get into my car, and drive to the hospital.
