Official Business

AVA POV***

   Pain is all I can feel. I can hear everything, that is happening. I don't know how long I've been out but from the time that I've been able to hear what's happening, Dawn got in a fight with my parents, Derek was bailed out of jail, the case was dropped my father made it go away.My mom told me that she hopes I never wake up, my brother has threaten me a lot, and my dad honestly, doesn't say anything when my other family members are present.

    He told me he feels bad for everything from the way I've been treated to the beating which has surprised me. Im tired of being in this state right now I can't move my body, I just have to sit here and hear everything. I'm done and realize I need to wake up. I begin to try to open my eyes, my eyelids feel like a ton of weights. I try over, and over to open my eyes, but nothings working. I see a light a bright white light. Its so beautiful, I can see people walking around. I see my grandma, and my cousin who got in a car accident and died. Wait these people are dead. I begin to run away from the bright light, and try to open my eyes again this time it works.

    I shoot up from laying down. I see Adam and Dawn sleeping in my room. Adam wakes up first. "Ava omg, nurse she woke up." he says running out of the room. I see Dawn wake up running towards me hugging me really tightly. The machine im hook up to starts make a flat line noise.i start laughing because Dawn took the heart rate thing, off my finger. We both start laughing as the nurses pile in thinking that I'm dying.

    "I'm sorry I didn't mean to bump it off, its just that I was worried." Dawn starts to cry. "Dawn don't cry I'm fine I'm alive." i say while pulling her in for a hug." Adam walks in the room. "Ava how are you feeling?" "Umm honestly I feel like I was beat up by an ogre."  I say while laughing. Adam looks at me I realize I shouldn't have made a joke."I'm sorry, I'm trying to lighten the mood in here."

     Dawn sighs before crawling in the hospital bed with me. A nurse walked in the room "Hello Ava how are you feeling?" "I feel sore, and i'm thirsty." "Ok let me get you some medicine, and can i evaluate you to make sure that you're fine?" "Yes you can?" she starts to leave the room     

    "oh Ava I called you're family they are on their way, currently." I begin to panic and the machine starts to beep really loud. "Ava calm down please, no ones going to hurt you they caught they robber that did this to your family." she says as walking towards me  "What do you mean they caught the robber?" "they man who came into your house and attacked you and your brother? they have the man in custody." I look at Adam who looks really really mad. Dawn isn't happy either. "Ok thank you miss." I say as she leaves. "so my family made a cover story to save Derek's ass." "I was in the police station for questioning when your mother and father walk into the police chiefs office, and when they walked out they shook hands and got Derek, and walked out of the station." I was so angry right now how could cover this up! 

    "then the police chief came to the desk and told us they caught the guy and it was a whole misunderstanding and that Derek was checking up on you when we got there." the nurse comes back in and asks Dawn and Adam to leave while she checks up on me. "Can I have some water, please my throats really dry." "yes you can." she gives me the water cup and I begin to drink it. "how come my throat was so dry I was only out for an hour." she looks shocked. "Ava you were out for a week." "what?" "Yea your body was exhausted, can I ask you something? it wasn't a robber was it?" "No it wasn't it was my brother, and my parents covered it up. This isn't the first Time he's beat me up." her eyes begin to get watery. " how could you family do this to you, you're only seven teen years old." "Its fine" "No its really not." she begins to look around the room to make sure nobody here in the room and can't hear us and she takes a seat on the side of my bed. 

    "You can come stay with me in my house, I can protect you from th-." she's  cut off my family entering the room. "Oh my lord thank you god you saved our baby." my mom says as she comes up to me and hugs me. "can you get my daughters clothes please, we've already signed her out." I begin to realize this isn't going to end well. "Mrs. Fox I don't recommend you sign her out, she should stay for a couple of more days to make sure she'll be ok." "No its fine we already talked with the Doctor and he said she's fine, anyways we have our own family doctor." before the nurse could protest the my mom cut her off. "thank you now get my daughters clothing."

     she walked out of the room and gave me a I'm sorry look. My mom got up and closed the door. " HOW COULD YOU!" she got in my face started to yell at me while my brother and dad just stood there. "Ava you embarrassed up in front of the police, the hospital and your fathers investors, we had to cancel the dinner, because your fat ass couldn't stay out of trouble!" I started to cry. she grabbed my chin causing me to face her. "Don't start crying save those tears for when we get home." the machine started to go crazy beeping really loud, as a couple of nurses come in, and my mom put her act back on. "Oh no my baby what's happening, please make it stop." as some nurses dragged my family out. The nurse that tried to help me came in the room with my clothes. "Get dressed I'm taking you out of here, some nurses are distracting them, so I can take you out the back and get you out of that hell you call a house." I got dressed and over heard some nurses talk to my mom as we make our way out of the room. "She fell asleep, she's Really tired you guys can come get her when she wakes up." and we started to make our way to the back door and she told me. "stay here I need to go clock out i'll be right back." she runs in the hospital as I feel someone grab me to see its my brother. He covers my mouth so I couldn't scream and drags me into what looks like Lucas car. I'm thrown in the trunk as he slams it close. I try to scream but there's no use they are blasting music.

    I'm crying as it seems they have been driving for twenty minutes, before the car comes to a stop and the trunk gets open, and Derek pulls me out throwing me on the floor. I look around to see the woods, I know I'm going to die. He crouches down to look me in the eye. "You shouldn't have done that baby sis." I see Aidan, topper, Lucas, and Logan walk up next to him. when he turned around to see them I kicked him in the balls and ran towards, the woods. I have my phone in my pocket, but its at one percent. Perfect such a cliche in a horror movie. I got to my contacts and begin to dial Dawns number. "Dawn please come help me Derek has taken me and I'm in the woods please come quic-" i'm cut off by running into someone. Its Lucas and I look up to make eye contact with him, this isn't going to end well.
