CHAPTER TWENTY The ghosts flew after the pup, but instead of giving chase Duncan grasped my hand and smiled at me. “Shall we?” I grinned. “Not if you don’t keep up with me.” I tightened my grip on him and rushed forward, pulling him along with me. He stumbled for a few steps before he gained his momentum. Then he took the lead. “Hey!” I yelped as the tables were turned and I was now the one being tugged along. Duncan looked over his shoulder at me with a wide grin stretched across his face. “The chase won’t wait!” I laughed, and the sound echoed over the clearing as we made our way down the arm of the pentagram.
