Chapter 3 Finn’s tactic for not looking like an i***t was to hide in the middle of the dance floor and hope the movement around him distracted from his godawful swaying. The lights flashed, spun, and changed color. Finn hated them with a passion. He wanted a stable light on Brody, preferably a spotlight, so he could admire how attractive Brady was, but instead he caught glimpses through a kaleidoscope filter. Bodies pressed in around them. Elbows knocked into Finn’s ribs, stilettos stomped on his thin shoes, and the smell of sweaty bodies spreading deodorant irritated his nose. Finn tried to hide his unease with fake smile’s and a bobbing head, but he doubted he succeeded. Brody’s lips lifted in a grin, and Finn didn’t know whether he was happy, or awkwardly smiling in embarrassment. H
