Emily in paris

The episode begins in Chicago, where we meet Emily Cooper, a young, ambitious, and enthusiastic marketing executive. Her boss, Madeline, is pregnant and unexpectedly offers Emily the chance to take her place at a French marketing firm called Savoir, which her company has just acquired. The role is a one-year assignment in Paris, and Emily, despite not speaking French, excitedly accepts the opportunity, believing she will bring a fresh, "American point of view" to the firm. They quickly bond over their shared experiences as foreigners in the city. Back at her apartment building, Emily accidentally tries to open the wrong door and meets her handsome downstairs neighbor, Gabriel. He is a chef, and there is an instant connection between them. This, of course, sets up the central love triangle of the series. The episode ends with Emily feeling a mix of loneliness and determination.
