Chapter 4: The dream

Ayana POV:

After hearing everything, I was speechless. I had so much going on my head. I felt so many emotions, I just couldn’t put it into words. I was sad, confused, angry.

Mom- “Baby, I know it’s a lot to take in. But just know that we love you. And no matter what you will always be our child.”

Ayana- “I love you both so much. You both will always be my parents. Always & forever” I said hugging them.

My mom was full on crying by this time. And dad just sat there with watery eyes.

Ayana- “Mom? Dad? Can I ask you something?”

Dad- “Yes honey, you can ask us anything.”

Ayana- “Do you have any pictures of them?”

Mom- “Oh, yeah! So many! I saved them to show you all of it after your 20th birthday. That is when we thought we were going to tell you everything.” She said with a weak smile. She got up and left. After a few minutes she came back with a huge photo album in her hands. For the next hour or so we were busy looking at the pictures, and mom and dad were telling me all the stories about my mom and dad. After looking at the pictures, I saw that I looked exactly like my mom but had the eyes of my father. She was so beautiful. And her smile, I have never a warmer smile than hers.

After a very long night, we decided to go to bed. Mom wanted to sleep with me to keep me comfortable but I insisted on sleeping alone. So, she agreed.

I was in my bed when I tried talking to Kyra. “Hi Kyra, can you hear me? I said.

Kyra- “Yes, silly. I can always hear you. I can feel what you feel. I am a part of you.”

Ayana- “This is all so weird. But I am glad I can talk to you.”

Kyra- “ I know, it’s so hard to understand all this. But I promise it will be easier. And I am always here with you.”

Ayana- “What if I suck at being a werewolf? Do I have any duties or responsibilities?”

Kyra- “You won’t, you’ll be great. Specially when I am here with you.” I heard her pur, which was so cute and funny. I chuckled.

Ayana- “Thank you Kyra.” I smiled.

Kyra- “No need, I am you, dummy. Now go to sleep. I need rest too, 1st shift is tiring.” She said yawning.

Ayana- “Urgh, tell me about it.” I said sarcastically. “Goodnight Kyra.”

Kyra- “Good night human.”

I laughed and drifted into sleep after a while.

After falling asleep for sometime, I am suddenly at this beautiful place. Mountains, with beautiful british roses, a waterfall. I could smell the flowers and the fresh water. It was the most beautiful place I have ever scene. And then suddenly I hear a voice “Ayana?” It was a voice of a man, a very strong voice. The voice itself had so much power. I turned around and was surprised to see my father Samuel standing there with a huge smile.

Ayana- “Dad? Is.. is thhat you?” I stammered.

Samuel- “Oh my child, you’re here. You’re actually here.”

He came to me and gave me a crushing hug. And I hugged him back too. I had tears in my eyes.

Ayana- “I must be dreaming. How is this possible?”

Dad- “Yes my baby, you are dreaming but this is still real. I am so happy to see you. I thought I would never see you.”

Ayana- “I wish we had spent some time together. Me you and mom. I wish I knew you both more.” I said with a small smile and tears in my eyes.

Dad- “Aw honey, us too. Believe me, there is nothing more me and your would have wanted. We loved you so much. We are just glad that you are safe and happy.”

Ayana- “Do you get to see mum?”

Dad- “Yes my baby, we are always together in the world. She was mated to me so her soul travelled to the other world with me. But she can not travel to your world in dreams like I can.”

Ayana- “Tell her she is really beautiful. I heard stories about her I am proud to be her daughter.

Dad- “I will my baby. She is proud too of the person you are. But my child, you have a lot of responsibilities. Our pack, your pack needs you. You’re the true Alpha of the Crescent Moon pack. You need to fulfill your duties. Our pack is falling and only you can save it.”

Ayana- “What? Dad no, I can’t do this. I know nothing about this world. I can’t do this.”

Dad- “Oh my child, you were born for this. You are a special kind my baby. You are meant to rule the werewolf world. But be careful, you shouldn’t trust anyone.”

Ayana- “But dad.. I can’t..” and then suddenly I woke up. I had sweat bead on my forehead and my heart was beating really fast.
