Her Broken Alpha

Tomorrow is the day, the day I run away and join the love of my life. My fated mate, Nicolas. We are meeting in the mountains of Oregon. It has been way too long since I last saw him. He left the pack four months ago, after the alpha made it impossible for us to see each other. Alpha josiah claimed me to be his chosen mate and chosen luna. He did not care that I had already found my mate. He took me to the pack house and moved me into his room, where ive been held captive ever since. At first it was easy to find ways to sneak out and meet with Nicolas. Especially after the sun went down. However as time went on, Josiah caught on and made it harder, and eventually a month later it was impossible. That's when Nicolas and I came up with this plan, my escape. We would be together again as rogues and on the run. "Amber!" A deep chilling voice called from the doorway of my room. Josiah. "Yes?" I respond bitterly from my walk-in closet. "Ah, my love, are you ready for dinner?" "Give me just a moment" I replied as I finished putting on my sundress. He walked into the closet and eyed me up and down. A smile formed on his face as he leaned closer to me and a growl escaped his lips. "You look stunning! Perfect for my plans later!" He says as he winks, taking my hand and leading me to the dining room. Bile rises in my throat as we walk towards the dining room. I know exactly what he has planned, I have to find a way out of it. We sit at the table and dinner is served. NEXT DAY! In three short hours I will be on my way to Oregon. I made sure to not pack anything, I will just replace things. At noon alpha josiah has called a mandatory meeting with all the pack security teams. Leaving me the opening I need to run. I would tell the house staff that I was going to let my wolf run a bit, they'd cover for me. Noon was finally here, guards were gathering in the conference room. As soon as that door was shut I would take my leave. "Amber darling, are you sure you don't want to join in the meeting?" Josiah asked, walking up behind me in the kitchen. "Yes I am sure. I am really tired. I think I'll nap while you deal with your meeting." I say with a small smile. "Alright, suit yourself. I will wake you when the meeting is over" he kissed the top of my head and went into the conference room. Shutting the door behind him. This was it, this is my moment to run. Calico are you ready to meet our mate...again. I asked my wolf. Yes! So very ready! She purrs in my head as I walk through the door in the kitchen, towards the tree line. Once in the trees I look back one last time, goodbye hell, at that I let calico take over and we run full speed.
