Chapter 7.

1194 Words
Alison POV.    “You look good, baby,” Maddie says, behind the bar.  “I may look it, but I don’t feel it,” I say.  I wore a tight black dress with the maroon thigh high boots. The dress clung to every curve and dip in my body and a whole was cut out in the chest to show off my cleavage.  “You look great,” I said to her. She wore leather pants and a black laced blouse with a bright red bra underneath.  “I miss you already,” she says, and I walk around the large bar and hold her.  “Really? Two months with me and working with me at the bar wasn’t enough time for you?”  “Oh yeah, you’re actually really annoying to live with,” she jokes, making me laugh and I toss a rag at her.  “How did everything go with… you being back?” she asks, leaning against the bar.  “It was fine, really,” I shrug.  “Did you have makeup s*x?” she asks and wiggles her eyebrows, making me laugh.  “No,” I say.  “Sure, you didn’t,” she says with a tone, making me chuckle. “It’s show time, girls!” Stevie Rae calls out at us when the doors were opening, and not soon later, all of us girls behind the bar were elbow deep in alcohol.  I enjoyed working here. It was always busy and kept my mind occupied from other things happening, and over the past two months, it was a blessing in disguise. Not to mention, the sound of the music and the bass, running throughout my whole body.  I swayed my hips to the music, both Maddie and I dancing as we served and watched as our tip jars were soon overflowing.  “It’s funny what a good outfit can do!” Maddie shouts at me, as we circle around each other for different types of liquor.  “Bookkeeper by day, bartender by night!” Zari calls out.  “No bloody way! Hi!” I shout with a laugh at Zari. “What are you doing here?” “Thought I’d come out for a drink or two,” she shrugs. “Also, it’s my friends’ birthday!” she calls out and points at an attractive man with dark hair, sitting at one of the tables to my left.  “Well, in that case, shots on the house!” I treat her, already pouring all the glasses.  “Alex!” I call out to our busboy. “Help carry these drinks to that table, please,” I ask him and watch as he carries the shots on a tray to Zaris’ table. “Have fun, beautiful!” I call out to her as I continue to serve other customers.  I twirled as I shook a drink and Maddie laughed as she twerked beside me, making me laugh.  “So, you’re the one I have to thank for the free drinks,” a man says. He was tall with dark, almost black hair. He was the man that Zari pointed to before.  “I am, and you’re the birthday boy,” I responded. It wasn’t as busy now, so I had to opportunity to talk to him one on one.  “I am,” he repeats my words with a laugh.  “Happy birthday!” I say.  “Thank you,” he laughs. “What’s your name?”  “Ali.”  “Hi Ali, I’m Eric,” he tells me.  “Hi,” I smile.  “Has anyone ever told you that you’re a damn good bartender,” he says, making me laugh.  “Yes, actually,” I said. Another customer asked for a bud lite and I quickly retrieved it.  “You’re also a very good dancer,” he says.  “Yeah, right,” I said, rolling my eyes.  “You should see her on the dance floor,” Maddie says between us.  “I would love to… how about now?” “Oh no, really,” I began shaking my head. I know a certain someone who would hate it if I did. “Oh yes,” Maddie says and gives me a look with wide eyes. “It’s actually her break now, if you want to give her a quick spin,” she says.  “Oh no.” I hold up my hands.  “Please,” Eric pleads. “She’s going,” Maddie confirms to him.  I sigh. It’s just dancing.  I begin walking around the bar and take Eric’s extended hand.  “Have fun,” she whispers in my ear and I swear devil horns were growing out of her head.  I shook my head as Eric tried to weave me through a series of people to an opening on the edge of the dance floor.  Eric began dancing in front of me, dancing terribly and making me laugh. He began disco pointing and I burst out laughing, copying his dance moves.  The music was blasting, and on the dance floor, the bass was stronger in my chest.  I moved my hips to the beat, twisting my hands above my head and bending my knees slightly.  In a brave move, Eric moves closer towards me, wrapping his hands around my waist. He comes closer towards me, placing his leg in between my legs so that we were pressed together as we swayed to the music.  I laughed as we swayed to the music.  He parts from me, grabbing one of my hands and raises our hands high, twirling me around so I twirl. I laugh as I didn’t know what he was doing, almost tripping as I turn.  I don’t know why I look up and come eye to eye with Zac.  He was looking at me with wide imploring eyes.  Fuck.  “Sorry, I have to get back to work!” I call out to Eric. I walk away from Eric, quickly, not even bothering to get back behind the bar. I went to the employee bathroom, leaning against the sink. I take a deep breath and look at myself in the mirror.  He was the last person I was expecting to see tonight.  After a couple breaths, the bathroom door opened suddenly, and Zac walked in.  I stood up straight, waiting for his harsh words, but instead he turned and locked the bathroom door behind him.  “What are you doing? This is a girl’s bathroom,” I state.  “The way I’m feeling, I don’t give a f**k, Angel,” he grumbles.  “We were just dancing, nothing more and nothing less. I had just met him tonight-” I began rambling, but he stops me when he pushes me up against the bathroom wall and his mouth is on me.
