Chapter Twenty-Five
Katie wrapped her wrist in white cloth. It ached. She wasn’t quite sure why it ached so much, but it was probably injured when the shuttle was attacked. Katie knelt on the ground with her scanner.
They were looking for any calcium deposits in the ground. Katie swept the scanner side to side. Nothing.
Rambo stood off to the side, a rifle in his hand, his eyes scanning the surrounding area. Katie appreciated how cautious Rambo was.
“Have you found anything?” Rambo asked.
Katie shook her head. “Not yet.”
She glanced around, but only saw Rambo.
“Where did Shronan go?”
Rambo shrugged.
“You don’t know where he went?”
“He walked east somewhere.”
“And you didn’t follow him?” Katie asked.
“I’m guarding you.”
