Chapter Thirty-Five Daniel was always a decent shot, but he’d never practiced all that much. However, after today, he was becoming fairly good. The only problem with using a laser rifle was while it was faster than using a standard rifle, and he didn’t have the need for bullets, it did overheat. And the rifle got hot. He crouched on the ground letting his laser rifle cool off when Shawn jumped down next to him behind the bush. Shawn handed him a pair of gloves. Daniel grinned as he put them on. “Thanks.” “Don’t mention it,” Shawn said. “I didn’t realize how hot those rifles got.” Daniel shrugged. “Yeah, my hands are burning.
