FORSYTHIA’S POV He was going to kill me. Judging by the look in his eyes, that was exactly what was happening. I should have run, but my legs suddenly froze in place, leaving me capable of nothing but staring at him. In the blink of an eye, a loud roar echoed, and my back slammed hard against the wall. His hand was on my throat. His pupils dilated, his mouth hung wide, and he began to let out a terrifying growl. Now, everything that came out of him was nothing but horrifying roars that I did not dare to listen to. My hands clawed at his. Tears welled up, blurring my vision. My legs kicked forward, but he blocked them. “Mak, I… I’m sorry…” I choked out, sobbing. “Mak, please…” He was a wolf—a wolf demanding total control. Damn it. Was he really going to kill me? My breath grew weaker
