One way Hannah could avert her vices was to run back to Dixford. She had a week more for holidays. She could shorten it to three days. In those three days, she’d leave home early everyday and visit her friends. She’d return when Julia had gone to work. Toward the time she’d return from work, she’d leave again to come back before dark. She hoped she’d be able to keep up with whatever Julia would bring up for that little time in the evening.
