Hannah didn’t leave for Dixford two days later as she had wanted to do. Since Julia seemed to be calm, although not talking to her yet, she decided to go back the third day. William had given her some money for her transportation back to school. She felt bad accepting the money from him as she knew he had little money. However, if she didn’t, he’d ask questions. She wasn’t willing to tell anyone about Christopher yet. Not when even she didn’t know where the relationship was headed. She could only enjoy the moment and hope for the best for the future. And what’s worse, should their father find out she lived in Christopher’s house and that he had been taking care of all her needs like a husband would, he’d certainly conclude she was paying him in some manner.
