Reason
A cool hand cupped her forehead as she emptied her stomach of its contents. Cutler hawked and spit up the last glistening fragments, swallowing dryly as she waited to see if there would be any more. Taking a deep breath, she sat back on her heels and looked at Bar.
"Thanks. Sorry about the mess."
"That"s why I have a maid." Bar eyed the pieces on the rug. "Looks like an aquamarine."
Cutler retrieved a sliver. "Two points for the woman with the soggy carpeting."
They got to their feet. Cutler looked over at David"s unconscious form until Bar touched her arm. Silently she followed the older woman back down the hallway that eventually curved around to open up into the familiar surroundings of the company office. Cutler glanced back the way they"d come.
