Royal Duty
They landed on the beach and disembarked. Kaelyn took a deep breath of the fresh sea air and scanned the cliffs behind the beach. Rein came up beside her and slid his arm around her waist. She turned to face him, reaching up to drape her arms around his neck.
His kiss was soft and deep. She felt the warm invasion of his tongue and greeted it eagerly with her own. His arms tightened around her as she leaned against him. When they separated, Rein whispered, “Promise me, whatever happens, you’ll never forget, I’ll always love you.”
Kaelyn gazed into his perfect brown eyes and whispered, “I love you so much, Rein.”
He smiled and turned toward the cliffs, adding, “There’s an opening in the cliffs over to the right.” He pointed toward an arched formation in the roc
