Forbidden Love

Growing up in Arias was like growing up anywhere else you have children that go to school, parents who go to work everyday and you have your rulers. For me these were my parents, Aurora and Nathaniel, the king and queen of Arias. My father Nathaniel just so happened to also be the Aplha of the Supreme Lycan Clan he took over the role after his father, my grandfather, passed away during the war between our clan and the Moonlight Lycan Clan. Even though I was part of the royal family my parents wanted me to have a normal life like any other child they sent me to the best school on the the small continent we call home. A year after my parents took over as rulers of Arias they had me Elena Montanaro the only child of the great and powerful royal clan and sole heir to the throne. Unlike any normal continent with rulers we are not ruled by just a king you do not have to be a man to be the sole heir you only require the blood of a royal which in turn leaves me to take over when my father passes because my mother married in. She does not possess the pureblood of a white Supreme Lycan she is mortal. Most pureblood lycans like myself do not turn until our 16th birthday which is when we also find our soulmates. Currently my father is ill and soon will pass leaving me to inherit his throne solely but my 16th birthday is still six months away. Coming to terms with the realization that my father will die has made me realize a lot of things. One of these things is to Value the people around you my best friend Katrina and her brother Grayson are two of these people. Katrina and Grayson are part of the moonlight Lycan Clan. They are a clan that is directly below us there are four Clans on our Island and when I inherit the throne I will be the leader of all of them my job is to create peace among all of us and keep the peace. Katrina and Grayson are the omegas children of the Moonlight Clan. We all go to school together at Arias High the best school on the continent Grayson is 2 years older than us and Katrina is my age but her birthday is in January where is mine is in December Grayson and Katrina have both yet to meet their mates. As much as it is forbidden I am in love with Grayson. The reason this love is forbidden is because their Clan is below us. If Grayson and I were to unite as one we don't know what would happen because the Bloodlines of the packs have never mingled we have only been told that unforeseen circumstances of tragedy would follow. Now Grayson doesn't know that I'm in love with him but Katrina knows that I am. She always slides small hints towards Grayson because she knows that I'm too chicken to say anything to him he's older than us he's the Star Quarterback of our football team and hot as all hell. He's six foot two extremely buff short black hair and green eyes that remind me of evergreen trees. He's always looked at me as his second younger sister because his mother who is the daughter of the alpha of their Clan and my father I really close so our families in turn have been closed all our lives. Now yes I know we're young but that doesn't stop me from having a crush on him I absolutely adore him. My father has always told me that I will marry the man of his choosing soulmate or not and that will be the end of it. He has seen my liking of Grayson but has never said anything my mother has always been the one who's coming to me and told me that there is someone out there in our pack who will love me unconditionally and who will help me rule the continent but I am yet to discover who that is because I have not turned yet. Once I turn my lycan instincts will kick in and I will find my soulmate and they will be drawn to me like I am them.
