MARRIED TO MY KIDS FATHER

CHAPTER:3

"You should also come help me in the kitchen. Your food is sweet. I will tell my chef to keep a spot for you,"she said.I just laughed out. "Tell him to put a space where I can enjoy his meal." I replied. They always made me cook every time we met as friends. Saying I was the youngest and should treat my elders with a nice meal.

In the evening, we left Talia's place and went home. That night, I got a call from Johnson saying he was in the country, and he would be staying at Park hotel in Westlands. I promised him that I would visit him the following day, after he was done with his business meetings.

I took my kids to my parents' home. We had a word with my dad as we walked around the garden till we reached under a mango tree and sat on a bench under the tree. My dad was still worried about me. "My daughter, you look stressed. What is it?"he asked. "Nothing papa, It's just that the kids have been nugging me about their dad. "I said. "You know at one point you will have to tell them the truth about their dad." He replied. "Papa am not ready, I need more time with them, before I introduce them to him." I said. My dad looked at me with concern in his eyes." Why more time? I don't understand, you will still have time with them,"he said." Papa, you don't understand that man is powerful and dangerous. They run half of this country. If he finds out I have his kids, he will take them away from me and make my life hard." I replied.

My dad hugged me. I could tell he was not happy. "Am sorry papa, I feel in love with such a man." I said. He said that I should not apologize. He said that I should let him spend time with his grandkids before I made up my decision. I didn't argue with him.

I went to meet Johnson at the hotel he was staying at. The room was dark when I got in. Only a few candles were lit up. Making the room more beautiful.

He hugged me from behind and kissed my neck. It made me feel ticklish. I loosen his hands around me and turned to face him. There was a mischievous smile on his face. I loved being around him. I could tell he was hiding something. What am I thinking? Should I just enjoy the moment? Yet it felt wrong to be loved by him. I threw away those thoughts and decided to enjoy myself. "What is the occasion?" I asked." I am making up for how I acted when I found out you had two kids", he replied ."It okay, apology accepted."I said. .

I spent the night at the hotel, under his arms. It felt wrong because I wanted it to be him William. Yet it was Johnson. Nothing happened that night. He was patient with me. We had breakfast before he went to have his meeting and left to go to my place.

I didn't have much to do in the house. I spent the whole day watching movies.

Johnson didn't stay long in the country. He left immediately. His business was over, and he promised to come back when he was not that busy.

Talia called me and asked me to join them on the two-day camp they were going to, and I agreed to it. She came to pick me up with her husband, Damon. We will meet with the rest of her friends later. The journey was cool. Damon got pissed with us. We sang our favorite songs to the loudest, which annoyed the hell out of him. We arrived at our destination. We were going to spend our two-day camp in a big house that was located away from the town.

The surrounding serenity was ambitious. The surrounding trees made the air clean.

William and his wife Meggy arrived. Spencer William's younger brother and his girlfriend, Olive, arrived together with, their younger sister, Angel, and Ten, their friend. All the couples occupied the rooms that were on the first floor, while Angel and I shared one room and Ten slept in the other room.

In the morning, Angel and I were the last to join them for breakfast. We were having breakfast outside as we enjoyed the beautiful scenery. No one spoke as we were having breakfast. Only the chirping of birds could be heard and the sound of the curtery. I didn't dare look at him. Meggy was the first to interrupt. "Cate, who invited you here," she asked. "I did. " Talia replied. There was tension on the table and I could feel it rising. "Would you ladies stop,"Ten interrupted.

After breakfast, we decided to go for a nature walk. I didn't feel like joining them, but there was no way they could leave me to stay alone. The whole walk was tiresome. We had some intervals where we rested. When we got to the top of the hill, I almost flipped, but William held my hand. I felt how strong it was. Once I got on my feet, I withdrew my hand from him, I only said thank you and left. He just watched me walk to where Ten sat.

"When did you come back?' he asked, "A few weeks ago." I replied. "And you didn't dare let me know," he asked. I explained to him that I didn't mean to and he forgave me. I told him that I would invite him to meet someone. "How about the kids? How are they doing?" he asked." They are doing fine. I will bring them to you, to say hi although of late they have been asking for too much information about him." I replied. Only him, Talia and Damon knew about my kids and their father. He just looked at him before shaking his head before saying "I wish he knew , how are you doing." "I'm okay but didn't expect to see him. How about we plan and meet instead of discussing it here.' I asked. He agreed to it.

On our way back, William and I were behind. I was tired and could not keep up with their pace.I had to walk slowly. William could pretend to do something just to wait for me. We could lock our eyes and would have to pretend. I was more than tired. I just showered and decided to have a nap. Instead, I help with the kitchen. Angel woke me up when dinner was ready.

After dinner, we lit a fire outside and sat around it as we listened to some songs. I decided to go make coffee.

I found William in the kitchen getting a bottle of whiskey and a few glasses. He placed them on the table. I went ahead to make coffee and didn't utter a word to him. "Hey, you have been avoiding me since I arrived," he said. "I didn't notice." I replied and went ahead with my business. After my coffee was ready, I poured it in a cup nd excused myself. Meggyy had already joined him in the kitchen.
