Once they made it back to the pack house, it was past dinner time, and the place was surprisingly quiet. Seemed like most of the pack had already scattered to their various rooms or cabins for the night. Everly and Declan scrounged through the fridge and found some leftovers which they warmed up in silence. It felt tense, and Everly hated it. “Fine, I’ll stay,” she blurted out. “Yeah?!” “Yes. I have been particularly productive the last couple of days and it’s nice here. I’ll stay for a few more days and get a bunch of writing done.” Everly thought about it on the ride back.
