The true test

Wake up Everly! This is just a bad dream. I keep pinching myself as I continue to run deeper into the woods. I hear my name being called, but I don't dare stop because I cannot face who it is. It is my mate, the future Alpha, Davin. I push myself further looking for a place to hide. I know these woods like the back of my hand because I practically grew up in them. I loved coming in here and playing hide and seek with the other kids. We all grew up together. Until that fateful day that changed my life forever. We were out in the woods when we heard the alarm. It meant we were under attack. Davin, Blaine, Cecily and I were in the woods, playing hide and seek. Davin is the Alpha and Lunas son. Blaine was the Betas son, and Cecily is his sister. I was the Gamma daughter. We all started running to the pack house once we heard the alarm. As we got close, we saw the Warriors and our parents fighting Rogues at the East of the Border. "Come on guys, we need to get to the bunker" Davin tells us all. But somehow, I tripped. They kept running and didn't realize I was left behind. But my dad saw me. He screamed for me to get up and run. With him being so focused on me, he didn't see the Rogue and by the time he turned around, it was to late. My mom screamed in agony at the lose of her mate. I turned to her just to see her get attacked as well. Something inside me snapped, tears flowed my eyes and as I screamed out for them, the whole ground shook and the two Rogues that I just watched killed my parents were suddenly in a whirlwind and a second later, their necks were snapped and they dropped down to the ground lifeless. I don't know what happened after that as I slipped unconscious, the images of my parents death swirling in my head. I woke up the next day, in the pack hospital, no parents and no friends. Since I was their only children, and only 12, my rank became Omega. But none of that mattered, I was alone. A few weeks later, I went for a walk in the woods. I just kept walking until I came to my favorite spot. The waterfall where my parents and I went for picnics and where my dad taught me to swim. I sat on my favorite rock and cried so hard the water started to move. It became violent and crashed against the rocks. The harder I cried, the stronger the waves became. Just then, I heard my moms sweet melodic voice in my head, "Baby girl, you are special. Always remember that you can do anything you set your mind to." I never understood what she meant by that, but I noticed as I calmed down, so did the waves. I started to wonder if I had done that. Then I remembered the day my parents died, the earth shook at my scream and the air swirled so fierce, it killed those Rogues. Did I do that? Over the next few months, I researched everything I could, and came up with one answer, an Elemental Witch. They are very rare, but very powerful beings, known as the Moarch. I wasn't sure how, but it seemed I was an Elemental Witch, able to control the Elements. I never told anyone for fear I would be cast out or killed. No more time to reminiss Lee, I need to hide. I told myself as I pushed further. I could hear Davin alot closer now and I knew I needed a plan.
