As I ran, I quickly looked at each tree that I passed. There was one that I knew would work to help me hide. I spot it just a few yards away and turn my hands towards the ground, I use the wind to lift me up and I fly through the trees to my tree. I land gently on the thickest branch and use my hands to twist the branches around me. I look through the tree and with my heightened wolf abilities, I see Davin only a few feet away, still calling my name. I quickly turn my hands towards my right and push the wind with my scent away from me, hoping he'll pick it up and follow it. Sure enough he turns his head in that direction and takes off in a sprint. My plan worked, now to just wait until he gives up and heads back to the pack.

I keep my eyes trained in that direction when all of a sudden, I hear my name right under me. I freeze and look down. "Lee! Lee I know you're here! Please come out!" its Davin. How on earth did he get so close to me? "You were always the best at hiding ya know?" "We could never find you." He continues to talk, hoping I'll answer. Eva is going crazy in my head Get down and go to mate. She begs me. Eve, I can't! You know who he is!! I tell her, while still keeping an eye on Davin.Yes, he's out mate!! Why are you hiding from him? She asks. Eve, he's the future Alpha. He's also the one who took part in the torment. Trying to show her reason. So, he's our mate. He loves us. This wolf is smitten. "Lee, I'm not leaving til you come out!" I snap my thoughts at his voice. I look down to see him sitting on the ground, right under my tree. He sure is determined, I'll give him credit for that.

Sighing I lean back on the branch and accidentally bump some leaves. They rustled and of course I instantly regret moving. I see his head snap up and smirk. "Of course you'd hide in this one" "I should've known, this being the tree we shared our first kiss under" Good grief, I totally forgot about that. We were 10, and it was a dare by Cecily. Think Everly, think.

"Lee, please come down?" He begs. "If you don't come down, I'm coming up." Damn, I don't know how to get out of this one. I sigh and grudgingly move the branches away, revealing myself. I look down at him, "What do you want Davin?" He so handsome, but I need to get away, I cannot be with him. "I want to hold my mate." He simply says. "Now you care about me?" I say a bit harsher than I wanted. "Please V?" Ugh he always called me that when. he wanted something. Most people called me Lee or Everly, he was the only one I allowed to call me V. I roll my eyes and look down at him again, "Just reject me from here. No need to pretend that you want me." I reply, with sadness and heartache in my voice. Before he can respond, the alarm goes off. We both snap our heads to the pack house. Not again! I cant let anyone else die. Was all I thought.
