Into the Forest

We start to walk hand in hand into the forest. Davin and I have studied the map and looked at the pictures very thoroughly and we have put together the best trail to get in and out safely. Its a days walk to get to the tree. The trees are high but we can see the Sun, we use it as a guide and mark the trees along the way of our path. It is quiet in the forest, I don't hear many insects or other animals. A gentle breeze blows through the trees and the leaves rustle as the trees sway. You can see the leaves have begun to change colors, its honestly really beautiful. Never letting go of each other hands, we continue to walk straight. We follow the path keeping to the trail we set up on the map. "This is nice" Davin says after awhile. "How so?" I ask him. "Taking a walk in the woods with my girl by my side." he turns to me and smirks. "Why don't we talk about plans after all of this is over?" I say with a smile. "Well, I was hoping we could get married and start a family." he says. "Are you being serious?" he wraps one arm around me and turns me to face him. "Absolutely." he leans down to kiss me. I reach up and kiss him back. We pull apart and stare into each other's eyes. "How many kids do you want?" I ask him. "As many as you want." I think for a moment, "2 or 3." I smile up at him. "I want at least one boy and one girl" he smiles back, "Do you have names already as well." I smirk at him. "I do actually." he throws his head back in laughter. He releases my waist but still holds my hand. "What kind of wedding do you want?" he asks. "I want a small ceremony, just friends and family. But a big reception with the pack." He nods. We continue to walk for awhile in silence, marking the trees along the path we created. The sun is halfway down when we decide to stop to eat something. We sit on a patch a grass and eat the sandwiches I made, along with fruit, water and energy drinks. We need as much strength as we can to make it to the tree. "Itll be night soon." Davin comments. "We can either stop or keep going." I reply back. "How do we keep going?" he questions with a raised brow. I point my finger to myself, "Part witch remember? I can create light to show us the path. The only thing I'm unsure of is if there is anything that lives out here." he turns to me, "You think anything lives out here?" "I'm not sure. But I can't be the only one who has come looking for this flower." He seems deep in thought, " Maybe we should stop." "Whatever you think is best." We decide to go as far as we can before we stop. The closer we are to the tree the better. The moon starts to rise and once it is high in the sky, we stop. We make shelter for ourselves and I light a fire, not wanting to attract to much attention I make it small but powerful. We sit in the tiny makeshift shelter, cuddling up together and eating the dinner I had prepared. As the night goes on, I feel a bit uneasy. I'm not sure why but it feels like someone is watching us. Even in the night, there are no insects chirping or hooting owls. Its beginning to feel creepy. I shiver, but not from the cold. "Are you alright my love?" Davin comes behind me and wraps me in his arms. I lean back on him, "I'm not sure. I feel like we're not alone. But all day I didn't hear a single creature. No birds, insects or any other animals that should live in the woods. And now at night, still nothing. Its to quiet." he sighs, "I know what I mean. I'm sensing a presence here too." "Wait, you can sense another being?" I turn to him and ask."Yea, why?" He shrugs. "Because normal wolves can only sense other wolves. I think you are tapping into my powers. What about your sight?" I watch him for a few minutes, he's looking around. "I can see through my wolfs eyes, but its so much more intense now. I can see farther than before." he turns to me, I can hear the excitement in his voice. "You are connecting to some of my power." I smile at him. Just then we hear a snap. We both turn out towards the forest and our eyes change to silver, the color of my wolfs eyes. We are silent as we scan around the area. There's definitely something out there I mindlink him. What do we do? he asks me back. Can you smell anything? I ask him No he says. Then whoever it is, is not alive. I can't see them either, I only feel something. That can only mean one thing I say back. Demon
