CASS
This time, I was expecting the horse ride, which made it a little bit easier to handle.
But only a little. That was a skill that would clearly take a little time to master.
My legs were still trembling by the time Damon dismounted. He didn’t offer me a hand. Instead, he simply caught me around the waist and lifted me down off the horse. I swayed into him when he set me on the ground and for a moment I forgot where we were.
He felt so good against me. Solid and warm. I wanted to lean into his strength and stay there forever.
He seemed to need a moment to gather himself too, because he didn’t move away very quickly.
