He drank the whole thing in one go, gulping it down like it was his. Then he wiped his mouth with the back of his hand and grinned at Zane. “Thanks for the water, man. Needed that after watching you guys skate.”
My mouth fell open. Anger rushed through me so fast I felt my face burn. Not again. Reed had ruined everything, again. I wanted to scream at him, but I kept my voice low and tried not to shake. “Reed… that was for Zane.”
Reed just shrugged, eyes flicking to me with that annoying half-smile. “Oops. My bad. Looked like he was done with it anyway.” He tossed the empty bottle into a trash can nearby and walked off like nothing happened, his broad shoulders moving easy through the crowd.
