I met Maya at our usual spot behind the school cafeteria during lunch break. My heart was still a mess from everything with the Steel brothers, but I pushed it down. I needed to focus. Those possessive bastards had ruined my chance with Zane at the party, and I wasn’t letting them win again.
“Maya, I’m so done with those four,” I said, sitting on the bench and hugging my knees. “They messed up everything last time. I was so close to getting Zane alone, and then... ugh. What’s our next move? I need to take him down for real this time.”
