"Your good for nothing brother is now a traitor. He sided with the Fang's young master and Mikael's son."

"Father you already know that Vix is Nic’s ex-lover of course he'd side with them to protect him. But he's still your son, my little brother."

"I don't care whether Vix is his lover or not. We are his family and yet he chose his ex over us. This just proves that he isn't worth to be my son."

Ian tried to convince his father to not hurt Nicolas. Even though he and Nicolas aren't really close he still cares for his little brother.

"Father you can't do this. Nicolas is still your son, your own flesh and blood! Please father, I don't want to lose a brother."

"I'm sorry Ian. But if he gets in the way I'll kill him personally. You know how much we need to get our hands on Vix. Warn your brother now before I give him my own warning."

With that his father left him alone. Ian could only let out a sigh before going back to his room to write a letter to his dear little brother. He never wanted to have his little brother as an enemy but with his father's crazy addiction with that treasure and Nicolas siding with his ex-lover there's no turning back.

It's pretty clear that Nicolas is an enemy now and his father's men won't hesitate to attack him now that he's a traitor. His only hope now is warning them and at least that will make Nicolas alert and ready for any surprise attacks. After writing the letter he asked one of his trusted men to deliver it to Fang Mansion.

This is all Ian can do for now. At least he gets to warn Nicolas and the others. Now all they have to do is wait and be ready for any surprise attacks.

"Alright everyone this is Leo. He's the double ganger of Vix. As you can see there aren't much difference between the two of them except he looks a little less serious than our Vix."

Alex said and the others snickered. Vix protested while pouting in Cane's hold. Since Nicolas was always present Cane became overly possessive over Vix. He wouldn't leave his side even just for a minute or two.

"Hey I can be serious too you know. Now stop pointing out our differences and start telling us the plan."

"Alright so here's the plan. To make sure Mr. Frau falls perfectly into our trap we need to act like he is the real Vix while the real one will be in hiding for a while. Just until they fully fall into our trap. Once Leo is taken from us that's when we initiate our other plan which is to head to Vix’s birth place, also his mother's birthplace to find any kind of clues about the hidden treasure."

They all nodded to Mark. The plan was actually a good one but the problem with that is Cane. He didn't want to leave Vix's side but it has to be done if they want the plan to perfectly work.

"Cane you have to do this. It's just until they fall into our trap. After that you can glue yourself to Vix's side again."

"Yeah Cane. It's not like someone's gonna steal him away from you!"

Everyone gave Justin a look before looking at Nicolas. This made Nicolas uncomfortable as all eyes are on him now.

"I'll only leave his side if you boys make sure 'that' *pointed at Nicolas* doesn't get near him or else I'll throw him out of my mansion."

Nicolas gulped as Cane gave him a hard glare. Well now he knows to never get into Cane's bad side. And Nicolas doesn't even want to steal Vix from Cane since he's the one who broke his heart. He's the i***t one who let go of the most precious gem there is and there's no getting it back now.

"Alright. You have a deal Cane. Now all you have to do is to act your usual self with Leo. You know, you being caring, possessive. Act like this Leo is the real Vix just for a week or so. Also at night you can spend your time with the real Vix. Also there's one thing that Leo has that Vix doesn't and that's a long scar on his back. So if you ever get confused between the two just look at their backs or asked questions that only the real Vix knows."

That seems easier said than done. Even though Cane agreed to it, it's still hard to act all natural with a fake Vix. As much as Cane hates the idea of it he has no choice but to do it if he wants the plan to succeed.

Which it has to! Vix's safety is hanging on to this plan his cousin Mark made. And if they want to get the treasure first they have to do this plan and make sure it succeeds into fooling Mr. Frau.

"Don't worry Cane. I promise I won't go near Nicolas. Now do this for me. Follow Mark's crazy plan just until they fall for it."

Vix pulled Cane out of the living room and back into the room that they now share. Even though Vix didn't know Cane much he still feels comfortable around him so he agreed to share a room with him but it's only used when Vix suddenly gets nightmares if not they sleep separately.

"Make sure to keep your promise. I don't like being away from you Vix."

"I know Cane but we have to do this. As much as I would hate it seeing you with my double I have to endure it for a while. But... I could still get you to myself when it's night time."

Cane smiled as Vix successfully lightened up his sour mood. The rest of the day was then spent on both of them doing nothing but cuddling, occasionally giving each other stolen kisses on the cheek or tip of the nose.

The two felt really happy when they're together. It makes them complete. It makes Vix easily forget about his dark past. Forget about the people he killed with his own two hands. Forget about the loss of his dear mother.

It seems Cane became his only strength. Cane's affection is what's keeping Vix sane and if ever Cane stops showering him with affection he might go insane and become a maniac, a crazy killer.
