Lev and I held each other for a long moment, and I wished I had answers for him. I wished I knew what to do, what to say, and how to make the fear leave his eyes. However, wishing didn't work, so I eventually pulled back and gently cupped his face between my hands.
“We’re going to figure it out together, okay?” I whispered and he nodded.
“Okay.”
“I love you,” I told him softly. “And nothing is going to steal you away from our family. I don’t care how powerful it is.”
