“I’m so sorry if I haven’t accompanied you for more than two weeks here.” Sheira said as soon as she opened the door for her best friend to enter.
"What is your problem, huh? Why are you acting weird nowadays? Are you really okay?" Sheira held both of her hands as she looked into her eyes. She smiled as she nodded at her best friend.
"I am totally fine. I guess I just didn't like that scene. I am not used to seeing those, you know." Rebecca made sure she didn't sound nervous as she confessed it to her best friend.
Sheira looked at her as if examining her facial expression. She raised one of her eyebrows and it made Rebecca look down and blushed a little.
"Hmm, seems a good excuse. Okay, apology accepted." Sheira answered after a minute of closely observing her.
"What?"
"I should not react that way. I just realize that it's a normal thing for me but never on you."
"What do you mean?" Rebecca answered looking very puzzled by what Sheira said.
"Marvin and I were always kissing, you know. So it's kinda a normal thing for me." She said as she chuckled. Rebecca can't help but to poke her arm.
"Ouch! It hurts!" Sheira exclaimed while Rebecca stood up and excused herself to go to the bathroom to wash her hands.
As she looks at her reflection in the mirror, she's able to recall that exact moment again. For her, that was the most unforgettable moment of her life. That kiss was the most magical thing that has ever happened to her.
She tried to stop her feelings. From the very beginning, she tried to put a wall between her and Gavin. But then she noticed that no matter how she avoids everything, the more she's attracted to the guy.
Gavin is a playboy type of a guy. He's appealing and for Rebecca, she would think that most of the girls that he knew of had ever fallen in love with him like she does.
His smile is the most charming she could ever remember, for the record. Especially when the times that they were still close and he still goes in this house to have a simple lunch or dinner.
His cares were the most sincere as far as she could ever recall. When they were still close, he would always make sure that she had ever eaten all of her meals and on time. He's a sincere person that she always admires the most. She could remember the way her mom would care for her when she was still alive. Her mother was the one who always prepares her food before she goes to school. She's also the same person who will make sure to have her food ready whenever she goes home from school and vice versa.
However, how could she easily trust him when all of a sudden, he's also the one who broke that building trust? She never knew he had Klaire in the first place. She just appeared in the whole picture all of a sudden without even prior notice. She never even saw her coming.
She never knew he had an affair which was also hidden from her. But then she has no right to demand because he's still courting and pursuing her. She never even knew how they ended or was their relationship came to an end?
“Rebecca? Are you going to make a music video there? Are you going to take a bath or what? I’m going to pee!” Sheira’s roaring voice brought her out in reality once more. She washed her face in a swift manner and dampened it with a soft towel. She hurried in opening the door of her bathroom.
“I’m here. I’m sorry. My tummy was a bit aching a while ago. Your turn.” She said as she grinned at Sheira. Her best friend rushed inside and slammed the door behind her. She shook her head because of that and proceeded to the bed. She wanted to rest her back and also her head. When she started to think about Gavin and all the things that happened between the two of them, her stress level increased.
She never wanted to think about him. Ever! All she wanted was a life full of peace from worry and anxiety but everything was all mixed up since he came into her life. The thoughts of him are making him crazy sometimes. She couldn’t help but think about random things concerning him. It would always lead her to be frustrated.
She slowly pulled the cabinet after she twisted a key on its keyhole. When the head of the diary took a peek at her, she smiled with full relief.
“Thank you mom. At least if that is your only form right now, I know you’re still here guiding me what to do in my current situation now.”

“Hey Gav...welcome back!” Leo, one of her business partners shook his hands as soon as he saw him loitering around the pub.
“I’m always here.”
“But we can’t see you that often you know.”
“Hmm, yeah.” He answered, showing disinterest towards him. He proceeded to the pub right after Sheira went inside Rebecca’s house. At least he’s sure that his girl is in good hands before he left Rebecca’s vicinity.
“How’s everything?”
“Getting better.” He simply answered while going straight to the bar counter to have his favorite gin and juice in a small shot glass. It was served perfectly and it was made of gin, grapefruit and orange juice to complete its taste suited for his liking. He noticed that Leo also ordered the same which made him feel really intimidated.
“Why were you here?” Now, it’s his turn to ask that from Leo. The man just chuckled confidently as a response. He looked into his eyes and he saw something. Is he going to tell me something very important? What was it, anyway?
“I was just busy with something else outside of your business.” Gavin directly told him that he simply stood up and bid goodbye. He was relieved because the guy never asked questions anymore since he was a bit far from him.
He concentrated looking at his own shot glass. He has never gulped any of its contents yet.
“Sir, will I just recommend a drink you liked the most? I know how to mix it for you if you want to try.” He nodded in response as he gulped the contents of his shot glass in his mouth, bottoms up.
“Thank you so much.”
“Here sir, just the way you like it.”
“I appreciate it.”
The bartender nodded and smiled as he attended his other customers. Gavin also gestured that he could just carry on to whatever he’s doing and he will just be okay sitting there in one corner.
There were many things bothering his mind right now. Will he ever tell Rebecca about his real feelings? Will he tell everything about Klaire and clarify that they were never in a relationship in the first place? He needed to explain everything because he knows that Rebecca totally avoided him even without knowing the whole situation first. He could regard himself as a victim. He never even knew that Klaire already had those schemes in her mind just to ruin her reputation.
This time, he wanted to clear his name to her. That everything that he’s doing for her was out of his love and sincerity and not for show off. That everything he did was for her because he loved her in the first place. He hoped that he had all the chance to explain himself and clear his name for him to gain her trust again. He wanted to take care of her once again. He noticed that she has lost her weight maybe because she’s used to being alone for more than two weeks. He wanted to do the things he’s doing to her from the time they were still very close. He was the one who encouraged her to eat her meals on time. He’s also there for her when she’s frustrated or whenever she needs someone to talk to. How he badly wanted to bring back all those memories he had in mind.
How he wished he would gain her trust again. He will do everything just to win her heart back at all cost.
