Teylor James, the real "King James", was the heir to his father's throne. He's a prince by rite (right), however, he acts like he owns everyone and everything already. Anywho, we have been in the same classes since pre-K and we have never looked at each other in a googly-eyed way. I mean it was wrong. It felt wrong. The last encounter we had was at the "new rave" last year. We say hey or whatever when necessary. ********************************************** So I had just now come home from Russia where we finished up the tour with vogue and V.S. The most memorable moment of working with them was Japan and South Korea. I met a lot of new friends there, mostly idols, as they call them and had a lot of Korean dishes for the first time. Tasting them really changed my view of Asian food other than Chinese and Indian. Back on track. It was two days before my birthday on Saturday and on arrival home, I saw loads of texts on my phone. Probably from the time I switched my phone off to enjoy my sleep during the plane ride. That took me 12-15 hours the most. Teylor had i-messaged me a lot. He was literally having a whole conversation with himself but I was able to see it. Tbh, I don't like these spur of the moment cases but it was Teylor; we grew up together. When we reached 13 we had grown apart. Basically he was having pizza night, at seven, with a couple of friends tonight and he asked if I would like to come over. I crashed into my pillow after being reminded that I was jet-lagged and literally arrived home at two this morning. I have been asleep ever since. Well, except for when Dad carried me to a rooftop cafe to have breakfast at 8 am. It was 3 in the afternoon now so, I had time until 8 to decide whether or not I should drag myself to go. Thinking all this in my head, I was left dazing at the heart-shaped strobe lights dancing around the disco ball up by the ceiling. Soon after I fell asleep again. I was awakened by Georgetta who came to get my laundry basket. She told me it was dinner time. Anywho, I was the only one there so I ate at the mini table only room. I was having steak, grilled asparagus and mash potatoes with a few baby back rib strips. It was five now and I still didn't know if I wanted to go to his party. Anywho, Kris had texted me while I was sleeping if I was going, however, I had no time to respond obviously. (30 mins. later) I'm so excited. Everyone was coming home tomorrow for my birthday on Saturday. It's going to be great. Anywho, I finished my food for the first in a long time and then changed out of my bathrobe into a Fendi fitted sweater and white Chanel shorts and white Balenciaga high heel boots. I just fluffed my hair out and went down to the garage in the elevator. I couldn't find my white Med. Chanel bag with lengthened straps while in the house but I found it in my Aventador roadster. Thank goodness it was there because my necessities were in it. I honestly don't remember leaving it in here though but oh well. Before driving out, I responded to Teylor and a few other people that I was coming. I don't know why it would be so important for me to be there but oh well. While on the way, I decided to stop at Starbucks and get a strawberry acai juice with a side of strawberries and a cream cheese bagel. For some reason I grew quite the appetite over the holiday but knowing myself, I'll be back at square one when school reopens. Raybans and a Fendi beanie does it every time. This is the first time I've ever gone somewhere, especially at night, without my guards. Nevertheless, they would be around even if I don't want them to so whatever. The paparazzi have found various means of stalking me so I have to be extra cautious these days. Aaaahhh... I just love going into the car when the AC hits and all around me is just cool, and the smell of sweet berry blast mixes in the air. I always take a breather before I drive off. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I was trying to get through to Char's phone but she wasn't picking up. I don't even know if she is back from Puerto Rico as yet. I decided to call a second time but no answer. Anyways, I called Soleille and she said she was already at the party. I was now heading across town to Teylor's house. My phone started ringing on ending. The calls were from Teylor and his friends who were calling one behind the other. I answered one by way of the voice call input on my radio and basically he was asking if I was going to show. I was annoyed a little so I hung up the phone. A mean here I am trying to drive my ass through the hills allllll the way across town. Of course, I'm here! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Upon arrival, I saw many of my senior mates there and of course, I was a "bit" late. Well, that's because at last minute I was called to try out some exclusive designer clothing and pieces of jewellery at a certain HQ of a fashion store. Hence, I had to make a detour as I couldn't resist this another opportunity. You didn't have to ask if I'd claimed such goods. Anywho, I parked beside a Range and went out after getting my phone from the circular compartment. I called a few people here and there. Just as I entered the living room, I saw Soleille and Char near the dining room entrance. Welp, I didn't expect Char to be here but she is. They were eating pizza and talking when I hugged them both. Soon enough I got engaged in the conversation. At one point, they tried stuffing pizza in my mouth but I was too full so I refused. They were now telling me about super hot people from other schools being here but mostly outside by the pool. It was a cool scenery and the music was okay too. Char and Soleille told me about an area with a lot of beverages to choose, so an hour from conversing we went and got ourselves Fiji water and a Snapple. We went outside by the garden where the wooden lunch tables were and continued with our conversation while drinking Snapple. Sometime after we were just chilling and observing the people in our surroundings. ***************************** An hour later we were telling each other about the things we were doing on our winter break and making jokes here and there about things. In that time frame, Teylor came up to us and greeted us. Suddenly, there was this very awkward silence besetting upon us. Char and Soleille looked at me then at Teylor then at me again and I shrugged my shoulders having not the slightest clue as to why he was just standing there. I guess Char can communicate with the silent because as soon as she dragged Soleille to go get another slice of pizza, Teylor took a seat beside me and started to ask me a lot of interesting questions. ************************************** About eleven Teylor gathered everyone to go watch a movie in his home theatre, well, whoever didn't want to, could leave. I heard it was a scary movie so I busted through everyone, yes in heels, to go take a front seat. Char and Soleille got everyone laughing at me but whatever. Everyone else came to sit and Teylor sat to my left and put my legs over his. I didn't think much of it when I glimpsed in his direction. However, his eyes stayed focusing always on the screen so I concentrated as well. Thirty minutes in and I was well attentive well aware but avoiding the soft circles he was making on my legs. I glared at him and pushed his hands off. He looked at me with those darn sexy orbs that popped out "thanks" to his neon rainbow Ives Saint Laurent sweater. I wasn't on this dumb.... so I pointed at the screen and turned my attention back to the movie. I would say I'm relieved that he took a hint. Until a couple of minutes later he started again. This time it seemed more involuntarily voluntary if you know what I mean. I rolled my eyes and paid it no attention. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The movie was just over and lights surprised my eyes with how long we were in the dark for. I tried to find Char and Soleille who were calling out for me. I saw them over by the corner outside the theatre. They were talking with some of our friends. I grabbed my phone off the charger from upstairs in Teylor's room. I was texting and walking when I bumped into someone. Sapph& ???: Oh, sorry. ???: Oh it's you. Is your phone fully charged? Sapph: Yea thanks Tey. [They walk off a bit] Ohhhhhhhh about tonight... Tey: Mhmmm?? Sapph: What was that about? [Blank faced waiting for an answer] Tey: What was what about? Sapph: *glares* Do I...? [comes out more like an irritated tone] Tey: *stares for a sec.* Mmphh- He suddenly speed-walked to me and spun me and braced my back against the wall. He held me in an embrace supporting my back. Tey: I like you... I like you a lot Sapphire. I have since last year, however, I couldn't believe myself until early this past summer. Sapph: I-... Teylor you can't be doing this now. You can't do this. *tries to push him off* [turns to leave until he held her back] Tey: Sapphire just hear me out please? [came out more like a question] *she stares at him expressionlessly* *continuously rubs her cheeks* We can start out slow. I'm willing to wait. Every time I see you I'm reminded of the little spark running around and laughing at me or with me when we came over to each other's houses when we were little. We can be like that again; running around and being happy in each other. What do you say? Sapph: Teylor I don't kn- I didn't even get time to finish when he smashed his lips on mine. It took me some time to engage myself in it but eventually, I did. He paused to look at me and I saw something different in those fierce eyes. Automatically my eyes reflected his and I slipped down his hoody slowly to caress his hair. He flipped us and pressed his back on the wall while indulging me in the kiss and wrapping my feet around his torso. We stopped when we heard Jared, Teylor's best friend was calling for him. As he round the corner, where we were in the hall, we had already fixed ourselves in normal everyday positions. He looked at us both all confused, however, he snapped his head and charged towards us. Jared: Hey James, we are going to go to that pool party. Are you still coming? Tey: *Sapph looks at him for an answer and weirdly he looks at her for an answer too.* [He looked back Jared's way and you could tell he was conflicted and full-on having an internal crisis.] Honestly, I didn't see why he couldn't just give Jared an answer already so being the impatient person I was when it comes to time, I walked off sassily. Loving the sound of my high heeled Balenci's on the carpeted hall floor. [Both watches as Sapph walks off] Jared: Damn, that girl drips expensiveness. Surely I'd claim-... Teylor: Nope. [Speaks seriously backing his friend off] Jared: *confusingly chuckles* What?! Is there something going on? Tey: Come on. [ He walks off leaving his best friend to follow behind]
