Chapter Twenty
“Anything yet on the surveillance?” Darque asked.
He was working late to catch up on the reports that were piling up, and to be around to find out if anything important came out of the meeting between Michaels and Cheryl. He hoped he might get a clue about why Michaels was going to Germany.
“The last I heard, the meeting had ended,” said Penny. “I’ll see what I can find out.”
She used the phone on Darque’s desk to call the head of the surveillance team that had been in the Hard Rock. Darque heard only one side of the conversation, but Penny filled him in on the rest after she hung up the phone.
“Well,” Penny said, “Cheryl will be leaving out of BWI for Munich in two days. She should be calling pretty soon, and I’ll get more details from her when she does.”
