Song of the Goddess

Running, running as fast as I can is all I know right now… As I use the little moonlight to light my way through the large forest. As I hunch over to catch my breath. And I hear footsteps they’re getting close. “No, I can’t let them catch me not again or I will be punished!” I said Still feeling the rust-like trees on my hand before I get up to run, running as if my life depended on it and it did. I tripped on pebbles, rocks, and wet leaves as old memories of my dead parents flash in my mind like a bolt of lightning. I try not to trip over myself; trying not to cry as I hold luna tight feeling her soft silk-like fur in my arms. (No, I can’t let these stop me not right now at least..not yet..) I think to myself As I make my way through the wet, chilly, and giant forest around me. Try to distract me from crying I listen to my surroundings. Hearing owls and animals then all of a sudden I hear breaking twigs and someone says “Where did that little brat run off to she can’t run that fast!” It was my father and he sounded angry and that means their catching up to me I have to run faster or they’ll catch me “There she is!” said my brother “get her!” Then they start to run in my direction. I start to run as fast as I can holding on to luna tightly so I don’t drop her. As I was running I was looking behind me then I feel no ground on my right foot so I fell back on my back. I look to see it was a cliff with sharp knife-like rocks at the bottom, I was about to run again as I turn but as I look up there they all are...My adopted family… “Well Well look what we have here Ria or should I say the little brat and her mutt.” said my brother As luna growls at them, starting to get closer. (Oh no, what am I going to do now!!) I think as I stand up backing up slowly. (No NO NO NO, it can’t end like this I got so far!!) As I start to slowly walk backward for them all, as they all get closer. I’m shaking with fear, scared of what they will do to me when I hear my sister yells at me. “You think you can get away from us just by running away but you already failed one time why try again,” She said with a smug look on her face, but she suddenly gets mad and yells. “Huh, you going to answer me!” “No…” “What did you just say,” she said with an angry look. “I said No!” as I yell. She growls at me and gets close and pushes me, not able to balance. I fall…I see she has a very shocked look as I fall off the cliff. I hold luna as tight as I get stabbed in the side. I scream at the top of my lungs. Holding luna as she starts to whine. I cry as everything starts to get dark, out the corner of my eye. I see my backpack start to glow brighter and brighter. As I’m covered with the light as I close my eyes everything gets dark but feels so warm. Then suddenly I’m on the grass, but I was weak but open my eyes and she was in a whole other place and I see luna is knocked out. Too weak to move, I close my eyes again and suddenly hear footsteps thinking it is my family. I stay still and let them take me back. But suddenly I hear a voice say “whats is a human female doing out here all alone?” said the unfamiliar voice
