Kyra's POV
I looked at Nick stunned by what the guard said, Your Highness? As in royalty? Nick Maddox was a royal?!
Nick sighed and looked at me helplessly, "Kyra..." he started to say but I held up my hand. "I need to process this and it sounds like your father needs you at the moment. Please excuse me, Your Highness." I said seriously. I curtsied to him and he glowered and grabbed my hand before I could close the door.
"We will talk about this later, but you are NOT to bow to me. You are not beneath me. I don't want you to curtsy to me again. I'll let it slide this time since we haven't talked yet but, I will punish you next time you do so. Understand?" he asked making sure I looked into his amethyst eyes when he spoke.
