Kyra's POV
Thane led us down the huge hallway quickly, guards saluted him on either side as we passed. He just nodded and kept walking but I couldn't help but look around in awe.
The hallway was massive, a plush red carpet led from one end of the hall to the next. White pillars with gold trim around the base and top of each. The ceiling was tiled with gorgeous mosaics that looked like they depicted stories of wolves. Though I didn't understand it, I couldn't help but gawk.
Thane turned and looked at me, noticing I had fallen behind and was looking up like an awe struck teenager. He glanced up and smiled as he walked back towards me, "I see you noticed the mosaic. It depicts the history of the shifters and the goddesses who made us. I would love to stand here and tell you more about them
