*Bell Rings* I walked out immediately I heard the bell ring. Thank God I was done with my lectures for today I could finally rest after both a long day and an hectic night, Sometimes I wonder how I survive both of them well I’m grateful I would be graduating soon ‘’Seraaa, I heard a bubbly voice scream my name from afar. I gave her my number hoping she would leave me alone who knew she would actually get bolder and continue talking to me though I only made few response to the things she said, she didn’t get discouraged at all and kept talking away. And since then she had been a constant part of my life I couldn’t ignore as she made my bleak life in college very fun interesting to say the least *PRESENT DAY* She had already fallen asleep by the time I reached home, yeah we started living together in our second year in college. I laid her on the bed as I went to the kitchen to make something to eat. NOCTURNE One of the most expensive hotels in Blackthrone city, known for its breathtaking architecture, exclusive suites and the type of luxury most people could only dream of experiencing. Its towering glass facade reflected the city lights, while golden chandeliers glittered behind the enormous windows. Two uniformed attendants stood beside the entrance, welcoming guest as sleek luxury cars pulled upalong the marble driveway. Beyond the revolving glass doors, the lobby was alive with quiet conversations, the soft clinking of champagne glasses, and the gentle music playing in the background. Everything about the place screamed wealth. And secrets. I adjusted the strap of my bag and soothed the fabric of my blouse before walking towards the entrance. My sneakers slided silently on the cold black marble of the hotel as I passed the attendants without attracting unnecessary attention. A woman in a casual dress. That was all they saw. Not the assassin hidden beneath the carefully chosen outfit. Not the girl who spent had spent years learning how to move unnoticed, read people, and recognize danger before it revealed itself. And certainly not the person who had come here with a mission to complete. I stepped into the lobby, allowing my eyes to travel casually across the room. Guest occupied the velvet chairs near the reception desk, while a few businessmen stood near the bar, speaking in low voices over their drinks. Security personnel were stationed at discreet intervals, their presence subtle enough not to disturb the hotel luxury. I took everything in without trying to look. My target was somewhere inside this hotel. Senator Maxwell Crowne. A man whose public reputation was polished enough to deceive the masses, but whose private activities has earned him the attention of the Silent Crown. I tightened my fingers around my purse. Two days. That was the time I was given to complete the assignment. But I had no intention of wasting even one night. I lifted my chin and headed toward the elevators, my expression calm and my steps measured. Whatever await me beyond these doors, I was prepared to face it. Afterall I hadn't come to admire the hotel. I had come to finish a mission.
