“Ahh…” A desperate scream tore from my throat, shattering the quiet of my bedroom as a searing pain ripped through my chest. My eyes flew open with my heart pounding like hell, the darkness felt too heavy around me. I could sense all my nerves were charged with a restless energy that set my skin prickling instantly.
