“Mira, hold on, you’re stronger than this!” Lord Elias’s warm voice pierced the haze as I swayed in his arms, the full moon’s silver light blurring above me. My body screamed with pain and every bone grinding, my skin burning as if it would split anytime soon.
The shift was about to happen with my wolf clawing to break free, but something inside me was still anchoring me to my human form. I gasped in tears streaming down from my eyes, my hands clutching Elias’s shirt tightly.
