Kieran's POV,
“Alpha, the elders demanded an urgent meeting with you as soon as you came back.” My beta Dexter informed me as I stepped in my pack castle. Exhausted to my bone, I barely managed to keep my mind calm.
“Alright, inform them to gather in the meeting room within one hour.”
I was already feeling dead inside as I slumped in the cold bath tub. The icy water bit at my skin but I welcomed the shock. It was the only thing keeping me grounded, tethering me to the present when my mind was already lost in haze.
“Get it together, Alpha,” I muttered forcing myself out of the tub. The cold stone floor stung my feet as I quickly dressed for the meeting with pack elders.
