As our car slipped past the border into Shadow Moon pack territory, a heavy weight seemed to lift from my chest making me relax for a moment. The dense forest parted revealing glimpses of the pack’s castle bathed in the golden glow of sunlight.
“Here we are,” Lord Kyden said warmly, his hand gently patting my back as the car glided to a stop in front of the pack’s grand castle. Since our car had been instructed to drive slowly due to my health condition, we were the last to arrive in the courtyard.
