Arriving home that night after X-rays and time at the emergency room, she was exhausted. They had given Hunter some pain medicine and told her to follow up with an orthopedic doctor to get a cast. A broken hand. It doesn’t even make sense. Mason was there fixing the porch when she got home. They had said hi to each other as she got Hunter in the house. He had been excited to share that he would have a cast. Amazing, now that the pain was gone, what excited a young boy. Mason had hugged him and told him he would let him know before he left.
