Chapter Six
They finally made it out of bed late morning. He made them eggs, toast, and coffee, and they came up with a plan for the day. Since it was the weekend, Mason had no need to go to the job site and was determined to help Kelly with the cleanup at her house. It was decided that they would have Mary keep Hunter until it was done and not tell him. No need to upset him over it, especially since they didn’t know what was going on.
He cleaned up from breakfast while Kelly showered. It was hard to believe that it had taken them this long to get to this point in their relationship. The fact that it didn’t happen several years ago was surprising and sad. He was ready to move forward with Kelly and see where life took them. And Hunter was a great kid.
