Chapter 16. - Loving family

A few days passed and I was finally feeling like I really belong here. The time I didn’t study I spent hanging out with my friends. I saw Lucifer a few times but he acted as if I don’t even exist and it really started bothering me. I was still mad at him, but I did not expect him to just disappear like that. Yes, I am aware I told him to go that day I actually screamed at him to go, but as the time passed by I realised I didn’t want that. I was so used on him being around that now that he is not anymore I felt kind of alone. I can’t really explain it but I hate it. That day I was walking around the yard, nobody was there when he passed right next to me, Davina was walking with him. He looked at me and just passed. I bit my lip looking at him.

“Did you lost something angel?”- Davina asked looking at me-

“Are you talking to me?”- I raised eyebrows-

“To who else? Is anyone else starring?”

Lucifer just silently continued watching me.

“At you?”- I laughed- “Yeah right like anyone with sanity would even look at you"

Lucifer burst out laughing.

“Listen you”- she came in front of me -

“Aaaa…”- I interrupted her- “remember what happened to you last time you got on my nerves or should I remind you”- I put hands on my hips- “walk away and don’t embarrass yourself even more than usual”

“Do you hear what is she saying?”- She turned to Lucifer- “Luci come on make her regret it, she said you had no sanity will you let a angel like that challenge you, some of them might think you even gone soft”

She called him Luci, my mind started racing again. Of course he is sleeping with her. I lowered my arms and started walking away when he pulled my elbow

.“Angel”- he looked at me-

“Let me go”- I pushed him and started walking.-

“Are you going to let her to push you around just like that?”- I heard Davina pouting- “I already see what will happen everyone will start saying angels can do whatever they want from now on. Come on show her who is incharge here."

He flew up in front of me and grabbed my wrist pulling me towards him.

“You have proven your point to your new lover, now let me go”- I said mad-

“Are you jealous?”- He asked-

“I really couldn’t care less who you’re sleeping with even if they are well”- I made a face- “Her”

“I think you are jealous”- his other hand passed on to my waist – “don’t worry you can always join us”- he laughed – “after all you belong to me”- his eyes shined red-

I slapped him, pushed him away and flew up to the sky. What an ass, he is no better than Davina and I am worse than both of they are because I can’t stop thinking about him. I flew up to the place he took me with that one tree. I like this place, the tree out here is on his own almost like I am. I sat at the bottom of it and pulled my knees. Was I jealous because he is sleeping with her? I would love to say no, but the longer I think of it I knew I was. He is the only one who I can actually be attracted to and hate at the same time. How can he even be with her? I mean she is so… the realisation hit me. She is a demon, a true one, the one he is, the one I can never fully be. Like always I am stuck somewhere in between, not Heaven, not Hell. Not an angel but neither a demon. I felt disappointment washing over me I grabbed the necklace he gave me, holding the pendant firmly. How will I ever forgot you Lucifer?

More days passed, and every day I saw Lucifer with her was as if someone was poking my eyes out. I felt sad, but at the same time, I was also very mad. It all just made me more determinate to learn things. As the time was passing, I was getting better and better at my abilities. My friends noticed the change in me, I spent a lot of days alone under that tree learning by myself demonic and even angelic things. I wanted to learn everything Azazel knew; honestly I felt like I was born with that obsession for witchcraft, I guess I got that from my dad side. I really enjoyed learning new spells. That day I was trying to manifeste my demon power, yeah I still didn’t get it to work when I heard painful sounds. I hid behind a tree and looked at what is happening. Lucifer flew down holding onto his chest, his chin was bloody, and his left eye was swollen. He fell to the ground. I moved and walked towards him.

“Lucifer?”- I asked worried-

He raised head.

“What are you doing here?”- He asked mad-

“What happened to you?”- I kneeled on his left side-

“Like you care”- He moved-

“Fine I don’t”- I got up-

I went back to the tree and turned my back on him. He stood there for a while and then tried to get up.

“Why are you here?”- He asked finally-

“That’s none of your business”- I said still looking at the tree-

“This is all because of you”

“Me?”- I turned around and looked at him- “I didn’t do anything”

“That’s the whole point”- he wiped the blood from his chin-

“I don’t understand”- I rolled eyes-“You know what I will leave and then maybe you can call Davina”- I opened my wings ready to fly away-

“No stay”- he said quickly-“I will go”

“Where?”- I walked towards him- “whit that swollen eye and bruises?”

“Won’t be the first time”

I came close to him and put hand on his eye.

“What are you doing?”- He looked at me-

“What does it look like? Fixing you be still”- I got concentrated and pictured his eye going back to his normal look-

When I finished his eye was looking normal like before.

“How did you do that?”- He looked at me surprised-

“My father is known for witchcraft and I am my fathers daughter so”- I rolled eyes-

“When did you learn that?”

“I took some free time, after the first one it just came naturally”- I looked at his chest- “could I?”

He nodded. I picked up his shirt slowly and what I saw scared me a bit.

“Who did you fight? Hulk maybe?”- I put hand on his broken rib bone and repeated the same as I did on the eye-

“No”- He closed eyes- “Just my father”

“Why would you do that?”

“Well father is determinate to bring you over to family and since you are not willing he thinks I am to blame”

“Why does he want me?”

“Your mother is pressing him, and also he wants me to marry you so he can say that he has the only angel- demon in hell, meaning he will prove to haven that hell is better”

“That doesn’t make any sense”- I laughed-

He flinched from the pain.

“Sorry”

“It’s alright”- he said looking me in the eyes- “It kind of does make sense”

“I don’t get it, you are ruling hell, I mean you will rule hell why would you ever need me?”

“You are obviously not seeing the things I see”

“What do you see?”- I asked fixing one more bone-

“Well how many angels or devil are able to do this? And you are just a beginner in this”

“When you put it like that”-I shook head- “No still don’t get it but there”- I got up- “you’re fixed “

He starched out and I got to see his muscles. I bit my lip looking away. Stop it, I kept repeating to myself. He laughed.

“What?”- I asked blushing-

“You are thinking about me”- he got closer-

“No”- I turned around- “I though could I help you somehow”

“Not really, unless you are ready to become Morningstar”

“No thanks”- I opened wings- “Have to go now”

“Sure”- he nodded-

I opened wings and went back to Academy, thinking about reading one of the books Yssabelle gave me. I took the book from the room and went outside, I found a nice sunny place a bit away from Academy buildings, sat and started reading. I didn’t get to read a lot when I felt strong presence. I closed a book and looked around, the portal opened in front of me and Carrie went out of it.

“What are you doing here?”-I got up-

“Came to see you”- she grabbed my hand- “we need to have a talk”

“I don’t want to have anything to do with you”- I tried pushing her away but she was much stronger-

“O we will talk. As you know you are promised to Lucifer and I will not tolerate you walking over my word. You better start getting closer to him”

“Or what?”- I narrowed eyes- “You will finally go away and leave me alone? Please do so I can forget all about you”

She pulled my hand on my back.

“You will do as I say Lilith, one way or another”

“You think you can scare me, I am not some little girl that you can intimidate”

“I haven’t even tried”- she laughed- “I can see you’re discovering demonic side, but that won’t help you now, only thing you can do is listen to me”

“As I said not interested”

She took a deep breath.

“Fine, suit yourself”- she let me go-

I was starting to think she even might hurt me the way Satan did to Lucifer, but I guess she doesn’t have it in her. As I was thinking about it, I felt deep pain in my head, it felt like it will burst out.

“Stop it”- I started screaming-

“Do as I say”

“No”- I said falling to my knees the pain was so intense I never felt anything like this before-

She kept increasing the pain level. Tears were dripping through my face.

“Please stop”- I asked her crying-

“Will you do as I say?”

I couldn’t even reply, I came to the point where I couldn’t take the pain anymore. I just passed out.

It felt like I was out for hours. I barely open eyes and looked at Carrie standing in front of me.

“Finally back”- she touched my face-

I moved away.

“Don’t touch me”

“I didn’t think you will have that low tolerance for pain”- she shook head- “Well are you ready to do as I say now?”

“Drop dead”

She slapped me. I touched my cheek.

“See what are you making me do?”- She got up- “Just listen to me Lilith, we will both have benefit of this”

“Benefit? Let me guess: I will end up with Lucifer and once he rules the hell so can you through me?”- I looked at her mad- “I would rather die”

“You picked this.. Remember that – she made a face-Well you will not die..but I can promise this will hurt”

I prepared myself to feel the same pain, but instead I saw fire ring forming around me.

“Classy”- I said looking at her- “Now you will burn me?”

“No”- she said seriously- “well not all at least”

She picked her hand up and my hand started burning. I felt deep pain, as I looked at my hand I could see it getting red. I started screaming.

“Don’t do this”- I asked her in between screams- “Mom? Please!”

She took the fire out and came to me.

“You have to do this Lilith”

I pushed her away, looking at my burned hand. Tears were falling down my face.

“I hate you”- I flew up to the Academy-

I landed in one of the towers, and dropped to the ground. I couldn’t stop myself from crying, my hand ached badly. I put my other hand over it and tried to fix it but I just couldn’t concentrate. Honestly, I am so scared of her now, she will stop at nothing to get her way. Azazel was right when he told me to stay away. I pulled my knees closer and stood there just crying.
