Jenna could feel the sun shining in the cave tickling her nose. it was the first day of spring. she was ready to start her warrior training today even though her mother was against the idea of her daughter training like the males. her father insisted upon it because as a royal members of the family they were easy targets for rogues and other outsiders who wanted to harm the royal family. "Jenna sit still and eat your breakfast if you plan on training with the warriors this morning you're going to need it for strength and energy." her mother said. "yes mother," Jenna said as she smirked. Little did her mother know Jenna she had been talking to the head warrior for months and he gave her light training and exercises she could do to help her prepare for the more vigorous training the elites did. in another month Jenna would be fifteen and that meant she would be able to sent her future mate. wolf law states that at the age of fifteen a wolf can sent their future mate when he or she is nearby, but they cant become mated until their eighteenth birthday. Jenna also knew just because she could sent her mate didn't mean she would find them right away, she would only find him that soon if he was in her pack. Jenna kind of hoped not because she really didn't like any of the boys in her pack. "Jenna dear before you go will you please go get your brothers Toby and Jacoby from their cribs." her mother asked. Jenna nodded and smiled she loved her baby brothers they had just turned a year old. she walked into their room and both of the twins lunged at her she caught them both as she stumbled backward. she turned and carried them back downstairs. "here mom," she said as she set them down on the floor. "see you later for lunch" she yelled as she ran out the door to the training field. all the elites had started to gather. there was another small group of wolves on the field these were the young wolves who had not yet made it to elite status and the beginners. when a male wolf turned fifteen he could start training to be an elite warrior. some never do and that's when they go to regular school and learn trades and careers to be useful in other parts of the pack, same for she wolves too but most she-wolves skipped the elite training and test and just continued on with school working towards their career or trade field they wanted to enter. "Jenna you go stand with the beginner group," the head warrior told her. she ran to join the beginner group there were six of them you had until your seventeenth birthday to get on the elites team, and you could take the test as many times until that day. the head warrior began speeching. "hello I see we have some new faces among us, my name is Remus, let's have the new faces and come up and introduce themselves there were four males and me and another female. we stood up in front of the rest of the warriors. there was Gemini, Eric, Devin & Dillion(twins), me, and Astrid.
Welcome to training and good luck on becoming an elite its not going to be an easy trial. the training was brutal but the simple light exercises that Remus had given me a month ago were very helpful. everyone else in my group had already tapped out for today while I kept in close pace with the elites. once training was over my group was surrounding me asking how I was able to keep up. I didn't tell them fully about the advantage I had just that I did daily light exercises every day. the boys were all jealous and Astrid was just amazed. then suddenly one of the boys said your not fifteen yet you cant be in practice yet. I'm telling. go ahead and tell eric tell my father the alpha that his daughter cant attend training he stopped suddenly in his tracks and knelt before me "please forgive me Jenna I did not recognize it was you."
I am not surprised you are the one never paying attention to the elders at any of the meetings. well, they are boring he snapped back. about that time my father walked up behind him and in a low growl said an important and big part of how you will pass the elite test. and don't ever let me catch you snap at my daughter again. got it. yes sir he whimpered out.
"Jenna, head warrior told me that you did excellent in your first day of training." "I'm very proud of you my father said. "thank you, father."
