Ophelia cried out as Rowan's hand gripped her throat once again and her eyes watered seeing the murderous expression on his face as he growled at her. However, before Rowan could bury his claws into her neck, his weight was being pushed off of Ophelia by Valerio.
Valerio positioned himself in front of Ophelia after he threw Rowan off of her and Rowan's body collided into one of the bedposts of Ophelia's bed, successfully breaking it and wrecking the canopy.
"Stay back!" Valerio snapped at Rowan, his own Alpha timbre appearing in his tone as his eyes darkened and he pushed Ophelia behind himself protectively.
