Brynlee's heart skipped a beat. She didn't notice Elyseen's presence behind her as she talked to Emily. He slipped behind her and locked her office door.
"Why did you lock the door? Give me the key."
Brynlee tried to reach for Elyseen's hand that was hanging over her head. She cursed how tall Elyseen was that she couldn't reach the key when Elyseen pulled it away from her.
“I took anticipation if you wanted to run away from me. You are a sly woman after all.”
Brynlee glared at him. “It's you! You manipulated my life and messed it up. I almost lost my whole life.”
