Elyseen suddenly grabbed Brynlee's hand and half dragged her towards the couch. Brynlee struggled as Elyseen carried her, but her screams were caught in her throat as Elyseen gently sat her down on the couch.
"Please. I have to save my energy so I can get home safely.”
“You…” Brynlee's words caught in her throat. Elyseen's face showed worrying exhaustion. "What happened to you today?"
"Many things. Mostly because my mother made such a terrible mess. The prosecutor called me to confirm my mother's lawsuit. The first hearing is scheduled for next week. And you know what, Brynlee, I've been too busy with my work. I don't need a hot courtroom and stuff that will make me even more dizzy in the future. The only way for my mother to drop the lawsuit is to take you to her and marry you.”
