Chapter 1 Violet’s pov. “Why is she so scrawny?” The huge man asked Benjamin. She refuses to eat whatever I give her, an ungrateful little rat. That's what she is.” Benjamin spat at my feet. I shifted my bruised feet to the back, so his saliva didn't mix with the wound. Benjamin was my owner, he'd owned me for the past two years of my life and now he's trying to sell me off. I can't wait to get off his hand. At the same time, I still don't want to go with his huge terrifying man either. The deal is off. I'm not buying some scrawny-looking, malnourished girl for my sons. Remember, they are the future alphas of the Iron Claw Pack,” the huge man said. My ears perked whilst my head was bent to the ground. I knew better than to look up, else I invited a slap from Benjamin. This man was an alpha, and he had sons, as in plural. Benjamin tried to convince the alpha to buy me. Ignore her, Alpha Dorian, this tramp, as ugly as she looks, is a good luck charm. The minute she steps into your house, you'll be surprised at the things that will start happening. “Hmmph.” Alpha Dorian grunted. I am not convinced by your words, Benjamin. However, I'll take her, only because the triplets need a maid close to their age. That was it, my fate has been sealed. This is the third time I have been sold. My masters have made a fortune selling off everytime, I wonder how much Alpha Dorian paid. “Move.” Alpha Dorian growled behind me. His voice sent a terrifying shiver down my spine, I swallowed and obediently followed him to his car. I was already imagining the tortuous life that awaits me at his place. As much as I bring good fortune to my masters, I have never been treated right. We arrived at his house, my jaw dropped at the splendor of it. “My Luna and sons are waiting to see you.” I nodded and followed him inside. I was bare foot and flies stuck to the wounds around my legs. “My love, boys, meet erm,” Alpha Dorian stopped. He doesn't know my name, which was usual for all my masters. “Violet.” I helped him. “Ewwww, why is she so ugly?” One of the triplets spat in disgust. The one in the middle pinched his nose. “She smells too, why does she have such thick eyebrows?” He commented. The three of them burst out laughing, while I just stood like an artifact for them to observe. “Darling, she's too skinny and disgusting, we can't have her looking after the boys.” Luna complained. “I know love, but Benjamin said,” “Benjamin's only trying to sell her off,” Luna interrupted. Just then, a tall man appeared, his face was bright and he looked somewhat nice. “Alpha Dorian, your deeds to build another automobile company at the east of the city have been approved by the governor at a very low interest.” “What?” Alpha Dorian and his Luna screamed in excitement. Alpha Dorian snatched the papers from the man to confirm what was just said. “Benjamin was right, this girl does bring good fortune. I've been trying to get that land for over three years now.” Alpha Dorian exclaimed. “In that case, we have to keep her. She will be very useful to us,” Luna added. “Boys, you've got yourself a new maid.” “Nooooo.” The three of them cried, then glared at me. “You're going to regret coming here.”
